Fall Trends We're LOVING (And The Pics To Inspire You.)
Read Time: 2 min 4 sec
We love exploring the new trends that pop up every season. With the fall weather finally setting in, we need some new looks to complement our layers. In our search for the perfect fall hairstyles and accessories, we have made it our goal to move towards a more attainable definition of beauty, which works for everyone, from runway models to athletes and busy moms, too!
The Cuts
A True Bob The roaring 20’s are easing their way into the 21st century. The classic bob is popping up everywhere, from runways to red carpets and even our local coffee shops. Chances are you’ve spotted one of these effortlessly chic cuts already this season. Don’t be afraid to test the waters.
The Wolf CutIf you didn’t already know, there are a few things in life that look good on everybody: ankle-length pants, a solid color tee, and the wolf cut. It works for every hair type and every face shape. This cut will change your life. Please do it!
Bangs Match the wolf cut with a touch of fringe, and you will feel like an entirely new person. While bangs have been back on trend for the past few years, we think they’re here to stay.
The Hairstyles
Blowouts We’re biased, but this blowout tutorial is fire. Few feelings on Earth match the sensation of running your hands through silky smooth hair. Not only does it show off your healthy locks, but it sets your next hairstyle up for success. We’re definitely advocating for women to perfect their at-home blowout. You won’t regret it.
The Casual Half-Up Look Shout out to claw clips (see listing below) for bringing back some of the best hairstyles that we almost forgot. Half-up looks like these are bougie enough for a night on the town and just casual enough to accidentally wear for five days in a row.
The Accessories
Vibrant ClipsWe can’t stop drooling over EmiJays’s collection. While monochromatic outfits and gold jewelry are flooding our feeds, we’re also still seeing the effects of Gen Z’s discovery of claw clips. We do have to say they are bringing claw clips back in a pretty glamorous way. We’re seeing loud, vibrant colored, and patterned floral clips, and we love them. More of these, please!
Piggybacking off of that… Loud Pins Lover’s Tempo understood the assignment. We can already hear you. “What’s the difference?!” Hairpins are more like bobby pins than clips are, and while they do have some holding power, they’re typically more for decoration. Pins used to be reserved strictly for weddings and special events but are more common now.
Hats Bucket hats. Felt hats. Beanies. Baseball hats. You name it, that type of hat is on-trend right now. Whether it’s the newfound love for functional fashion or just trying to set a “vibe,” hats have made their complete comeback. Get yourself one and let that hair rest an extra day between washes.

TYME Reviews: The Good And The Bad
Read Time: 4 min 8 sec
Taking the time to learn something new can be frustrating, but something is empowering about mastering a new skill like mowing the lawn for the first time. We know it’s like vacuuming, but not entirely, and some methods are good for your yard. All in all, you don’t quite know how to do it unless someone explains it to you or you jump in headfirst. Well, that is kind of how the TYME Iron works, too. It’s not a straightener. It’s not a curling iron. It’s different, and there are a couple of things to know before jumping in.
We’re so grateful for all the people who take a chance on our iron. Knowing that something is going to take time to learn can be intimidating, and we’re so grateful for all the people who have persevered and learned the TYME Iron... some people don’t.
The Bad Reviews
The Milabu Review
We love that she starts the review acknowledging that there is a learning curve, but unfortunately, she doesn’t mind the instructions after that statement. While we wish you could jump through the screen and give her a helping hand, we’ll give YOU the tips we would have given her.
Our Key Takeaways:
Pay attention to which side of the iron you’re using when approaching your hair. There is an open side, which we call the straightening side, as its best for straightening, and a closed side with a lip. The closed side is for curling. If you want to curl, this side MUST be the side closest to your roots. A great indicator to know if you can curl or straighten is determining where your wrist is facing.
For curling, the inside of your wrist is facing you when you approach the hair.
For straightening, the inside of your wrist is facing away from you when you approach your hair.
Curling on the left side can throw people through a loop. We get it. Here is the simplest way to explain it: start with the iron in your dominant hand (thumb behind the light, of course), hinge your arm up over your head. Typically, in this position, your knuckles face the mirror, and we prefer the swivel cord of the iron to be behind you.
Use your non-dominant hand to guide and help the piece you’re curling stay on the titanium plates.
Leave the vice grips in your toolbox. ;) We’ve engineered a precise angle in our iron, so you don’t have to apply tons of pressure while using it.
Yikes.
First, what we hear in this review is that the user is going too fast. Passing through each section of hair too quickly and with very little rotation will not result in an aesthetically pleasing curl. Our titanium plates heat the hair faster than the average straightener or curling iron, but the key to a great curl is proper cooling time. Where your hair cools is where it stays. We designed the TYME Iron with a curved barrel so that your hair can cool along that curve as you curl. While we preach that our iron is fast, it’s not a magic wand.
So our suggestion to this user would be to slow down and take advantage of our FREE HangTYME sessions. While learning a new skill on your own can be a source of pride, please don’t struggle through a new practice and then give up when it doesn’t work the way you intend. We have a stylist dedicated to teaching you how to use the TYME Iron.
How you approach your hair with the TYME Iron does matter.
We must be active participants in how we use the TYME iron. If you rotate the iron a lot, you’re going to get a bigger curl. If you barely turn the iron, you’re hardly going to get a curl at all. One of the number one things we hear is “my curls don’t last” or “It’s just a straightener.” To that, we say, take your time. Blazing through your locks when trying to curl isn’t going to create a curl. It’s going to apply just enough heat to warm up the hair and leave no time for cooling in a curled position, meaning you just lightly straightened your hair.
We do have tutorials for left-handers!
We wish our small business could engineer a left-handed TYME Iron for a quick solution, but we do have a glimmer of hope for all you left-handed stylists out there. Our gal, Savannah, is also left-handed. She has mastered the TYME Iron, and we love her words of advice.
“Your left hand is still a very active participant in the curling process. Truly all your right hand is doing is closing the iron and rotating. The left hand is grabbing the section of hair you’re curling, placing the hair in the iron, guiding it through the iron, and twisting the curl after it is out of the iron. Don’t underestimate how much that hand is doing!”
The Good Reviews
We applaud your patience!
Going in with the mindset that you CAN learn this new tool and that it is different truly makes all the difference. We’re so impressed with Kelly’s commitment to the process and that she invested into her routine further by exploring our wet line. Our wet line works hand in hand with the TYME Iron and BlowTYME. The products are hyper-hydrating and work to protect your hair from outside stressors like heat and humidity. The best part? Do you know the oils that make your hair feel greasy, sebum? Our shampoo and conditioner work to balance sebum production, so you don’t have to wash your hair as much!
YES MERRI!
We’re biased, but our brushes are top knot-ch! ;) The paddle brush gives an element of luxury to getting ready. Our nylon bristles glide through your locks with ease and give your scalp a well-deserved massage.
It is super easy!
There is no going back once you have learned how to use the iron and have your technique down. If we were unable to use TYME Irons for some depressing reason to get ready in the morning, we would literally daydream about them.

New Ways To Support Small Businesses (Even When Your Budget is Tight)
Read Time: 1 min 47 sec
The wake of the global pandemic has been a beautiful thing. We’re seeing people functioning as a more true version of themselves. We’ve watched local businesses flourish from a newfound appreciation and commitment to our communities. Most importantly, we can all hug each other again!
While the post COVID world is looking brighter and we’re seeing things a bit more clear, there’s one aspect we’re just not loving...some small businesses just can’t keep up. Ad budgets are growing while terms and restrictions are changing on nearly a daily basis. It’s a lot to keep up with.
We’re shifting our focus on thanking our supporters and putting some tyme (wink) and power back into the hands of the businesses who are working to change lives every single day. After all, you’re the reason we’re doing what we do anyway.
Here are our THREE fool-proof ways to help support small businesses even when spending isn’t an option:
#1: Be Social on Social Media!
We’re putting a new spin on the phrase “if you see something, say something.” Social media algorithms LOVE interaction and while a “like” still does wonders, all small businesses want to hear from you! Drop them a comment if you love what you see and start that dialogue. There’s a real person on the other end responding and we’re willing to bet it will put an extra pep in their step that day.
Like their posts
Leave a comment. Even a “heart” makes a difference
Share their posts to your story or timeline, or pin it!
#2: Shout It from the Rooftops!
We’re over “best-kept secrets.” SHARE THE SAUCE! If there is a product or place you absolutely love, tell people about it! Not only can you impact the person you’re speaking to or the people who see your post on social media, but you’re letting that business know how much you love their products. Feedback is ALWAYS welcome!
Share a picture or video of how you use their product!
Write a product review on their website
Leave a Google Rating
Tag a friend
#3: Use this Discount HACK, if You’re Strapped for Cash
Nearly every small business utilizes an email platform. We have all seen the pop-ups and you probably have an email account dedicated to JUST those emails. What you may not know is that emails are most small businesses ’ way of getting you information about sales and discounts! So next time you’re online shopping, check those emails!
The power you have to change lives is greater than you might think. Each team member of a small business is affected by your interaction with their company. Small businesses need and love your support!
So to put our money where our mouths are, here are a few of the small brands we’re obsessing over right now:

An Inspiring Mother's Day Message from CEO Jacynda Smith
Read Time: 3 min 25 sec
Congratulations! You have made it through this epic change humanity is experiencing, all while maintaining a home...and a family...and yourself! It is both profound and confounding at the same time. I went into the year thinking 2020, “What an amazing year! A year that will be full of perfect 20/20 vision and perfect hindsight.” … Although it didn’t look anything like I was expecting - especially as a mother - it brought on an amazing transformation.
There have been so many descriptions about what was coming to transform the Earth and humanity. But I don’t think anyone knew it would come in this form. Something that stopped everyone from their normal routine and gave us a whole new lens through which to view the world through.
Have there been challenging moments?
Absolutely!
Will there be more challenges?
Absolutely!
We’ve learned to live in a whole new way and cleaned out our closets...both physically and emotionally. Now it’s tyme to bring this new you back into the world to incorporate who you have grown into and reintroduce yourself. If you don’t feel like this is the journey you are on yet. I would love to pass on some of the daily practices I personally implemented. These practices have made the journey of life, and the past year especially, feel more empowered, enriched, and enjoyable.
Meditation
Learning new perspectives and unlearning old ones
Reading and growing my knowledge
Speaking the mantras below into existence.
“I Deserve to Prioritize Myself”
Most moms can admit that we get lost in “doing.” Doing things for our children, for our partners, for our in-laws, or the neighbor. It’s a part of our nature to help, trust me, I get it! Some of us get lost in the opportunity to help and it turns into what feels like an obligation to help. In that obligation, we lose our focus on who we are and what we want. If you’re always putting the needs of others over your own, it’s nearly impossible to be the best version of you, you can be.
So...prioritize yourself! Nurture yourself. Nurture your mind. Nurture your spirit. Nurture your body. Try to make time for yourself every single day. Even if it’s just five minutes a day, at LEAST it’s five minutes that day to just center yourself. You deserve it.
And don’t forget that by prioritizing yourself, you’re setting an incredible example for your children! They should learn how to prioritize their own needs and wants, and who better to set that example than the wonder woman who cares for them - and herself - on a daily basis.
“Follow My Excitement”
Breaking down our mold of prioritization gives us space to follow our excitement.
I love using this analogy with people! Think about a decision you have coming up or even just your plans for Friday night. You can get dressed up and go out, or you can stay at home in your sweats and read a book. Now grab a coin. Heads you’re going out. Tails you’re staying in. In that split second before the coin lands, you probably already know what it is you want to do. When that coin lands, you’re either really excited or slightly disappointed, right?
Stop letting yourself be slightly disappointed! Go with the option that brings you more excitement. Adopting this way of making decisions in your life truly unlocks possibilities. You stop sweating the small stuff. You stop doing things out of obligation. You start prioritizing joy and excitement.
Imagine what that can do for your parenting style?! Parents continuously put themselves and subsequently our children in the role to follow the status quo. Let your kids live in their excitement and not just follow the norms of society. Those expectations are so tough for kids to navigate and engrains a self-conscious mindset that prevents them from pursuing their passion.
I think the world needs a bit more of that. People who lead a life full of pursuing their excitement.
“I Am Enough”
It’s a practice.
From a young age, we are constantly pushed into categories and stereotypes. When you search for the core of why a kid is hard on themselves in sports or school, or even why people insult themselves or they feel like they don’t look good in pictures… it all stems from that core feeling that you don’t feel like you’re good enough for something. All of us have those beliefs. That’s where doubt and fear and judgment start to come in. But what some people don’t recognize is when you let those feelings win, and you start judging yourself, it spills out. It turns into doubt and fear and judgment of other people.
None of that is who we truly are.
You are born enough in this world and you are worthy of everything in this world. When you start saying that to yourself and honing in on that fact...it changes your world.
Don’t leave these mantras in this blog. Take them with you. Start practicing them.
And remember…
The best parent version of you stems from the actual best version of you.
FrankenTYME: The Making Of The TYME Iron Pro
Hairstylists around the world are constantly hearing clients ask, “How do I make my hair look like that?” These stylists spend tons of time explaining to the people in their chair the curling method, explaining the benefits of quality products, and how effective blowdrying really is. Yet, when clients come back for their next appointment, they still ask.
Jacynda Smith, TYME CEO, couldn’t let that go. She wanted women to get that same boost of confidence they had when leaving the salon, on an everyday basis.
"I wanted people to be able to style their hair the way I was able to style it for them in the salon,” Smith said. “They either couldn’t use a flat iron to create curls or had trouble with curling irons.”
Smith’s experience with clients gave her just enough frustration and confidence that she decided to make a tool that would work for everyone. After a generous donation of styling tools from Capri Cosmetology School, the school where she earned her cosmetology license, Smith got to work.
"My goal was to help women create the styles they always wanted,” Smith said. “I felt there could be a better way and started working with my cousin.”
And thus, FrankenTYME was born! The first prototype in what would become the TYME Iron Pro was a concoction of different irons pieced and mended together. This stitched-together tool would become a revolutionary new styling tool. FrankenTYME combined the styling capabilities of four different barrel size curling irons and a straightener. Five tools all in one package.
“By utilizing the science of “where the hair cools is where it stays”, the iron heats the hair between titanium plates for a faster heat transfer and then cools on the rounded shape of the iron,” Smith said. “This heat transfer process is also what makes TYME curls last longer than hair curled with a traditional iron.”
These capabilities would not only change the way women look at getting ready but declutter their lives. Their bathrooms, traveling experience, and even time dedicated to getting ready would completely change. No more cluttered drawers, cabinets, and suitcases - just one tool: the TYME iron!

Get To Know Our CEO, Jacynda Smith
The entrepreneur mindset doesn’t come easy to all, but for Jacynda Smith it came as naturally as braiding hair. As a little girl in Colorado Springs, CO, Jacynda had a knack for making things beautiful. This quickly turned into her first entrepreneurial business when she started selling bracelets to her friends in fourth grade.
That mindset traveled with her across the world while she was living in Finland, creating a bag company in Toronto, CA, and traveling with her husband who was a professional hockey player, but her current enterprise developed in a little town meant to be a pit stop along the way.
In the heart of the Midwest sits the tiny little river town of Bellevue, IA where Jacynda found the time to mingle her passion for bringing beauty into the everyday lives of women and business. Her experiences in Iowa helped foster the original design for the multi-purpose tool we can’t stop drooling over, the TYME Iron. We had the opportunity to sit down with Jacynda, TYME CEO, to revisit that journey and how it has evolved since 2014.
Q: How did you end up in Bellevue?
J: When Dan (my husband) got injured playing hockey, his career was over. It was also the 2008 housing crisis so he couldn’t find work. My mom said, “Why don’t you go live in Iowa where it will be affordable and you’ll have a sitter for your kids while you go to hair school.” I was like “What are you crazy?” ...and then I moved here. A year later she said: “When are you coming back to Colorado?” ...and I said, “What are you crazy? I’m not leaving here.” In both instances she wasn’t crazy.
Q: You started your journey in the beauty industry as a hairstylist. What influenced you to develop the TYME Iron?
J: The beauty industry - for me - is very complex because I believe that beauty comes from inside. I really feel a beauty journey starts way further back for me. Hair was my first real venture into it, but I appreciate beauty from everywhere and every angle. I feel like I’ve always been an admirer of beauty in all forms, whether it’s houses and confidence in people or a kind smile. I appreciate beauty everywhere. I think my first experience was “How do I help people bring that into their beauty routine?” It was the struggle of watching everybody try to curl or try to recreate. People in the salon would always ask how to look a certain way. So I'm trying to teach them how to do that and they would struggle so hard to get the looks. They were trying to recreate it with a curling iron, but I was curling with a flat iron. They couldn’t get that technique down so I was like there has to be a way to make this easier for them, so I started dabbling in finding out how I could create it. I thought it would be an attachment, but it ended up being a whole iron.
Q: And you had no idea what it would be able to do from there right?
J: I had no idea what it was going to free up for women. When I gave it to Ariya and she was trying it out and she was like, “I can only get it to straighten.” I was like “What are you doing?” and so she showed me and I was like, “AHHHH IT’S A STRAIGHTENER TOO?! THAT’S AMAZING.” I was just trying to help women achieve the styles that I was giving them.
Q: When you were a little girl did you dream of working in the beauty industry?
J: No! I literally thought nothing for myself. I had no big hopes or aspirations or dreams. I literally thought like I was good at nothing. I was like “How do I just get by every day?” and I always felt like I was good at everything but not GREAT at anything, so I didn’t really know how to excel at something and really put an effort forth. I do know that whenever we would braid hair in class or something, it was very easy for me to do. I didn’t connect that something being easy for me wasn’t easy for everyone else. A big part of the journey is trying to figure out how to feel what is easy for yourself. Because when it’s right it's just easy. Or it’s worth trying.
Q: Ranging back across the past century, is there a beauty trend you would want to bring back? Why?
J: I’m obsessed with ‘70s hair! The different things that they would try...it was all over the map! If you had big afro hair, you would rock it and it was amazing, or you would be so proud of that and I love that! If you had really sleek amazing hair, you would rock that. And if you were really into a bouffant kind of look, you could do that. I love that in the ‘70s you were true to you.
Q: What is your advice for people looking to break into the beauty world?
J: Be true to you! It’s very easy to get lost in the beauty industry following trends instead of being true to what you’re about. Find your niche in it. The beauty industry is so big and so vast that you can find your niche somewhere.
Q: Be honest. What’s your favorite TYME product? You can only choose one!
J: The iron. If I couldn’t choose the iron, that’s hard. Upstaged is so versatile, but if I didn’t have the shampoo and conditioner, I wonder what Upstaged would be like. Upstaged is epic, but I couldn’t imagine washing my hair more often. That’s like asking me to choose between my children...sorry, I like them all. Ok...Power Couple! The freedom it provides in your life you can’t even match.
Q: Is there anything new on the horizon for TYME?
J: Our Obsidian Iron! When I first came out with the iron it was like a sea of black irons. Very boring, no fun in the iron world at all and I just wanted to break from that tradition. Now I think so many (brands) have gone so far that most of them don’t look good on your counter. There’s nothing more amazing than a sleek black iron with bling on it. I’m really excited to launch that iron.
Q: What styling product should every woman have in her arsenal?
J: Upstaged because of how versatile it is. It can enhance anyone's natural style.
Q: What else are you excited about right now?
J: With 2020, we’ve had to revisit and clear out all of our closets. I’m really excited to see the other side of people being a renewed sense of themselves. When you are more isolated and you go in and you clean out your closets, whether metaphorically or physically, you come out new. It’s all fresh and new. I’m really excited to see people interact when they can show their smiles again. We get to reconnect in a whole new way after everyone has cleaned out their closets and we get to show up as our newest truest self.
Q: How do you measure success?
J: One moment at a time. I think the best thing that I have found for feeling successful is being present in every moment. Making a certain amount of money is no better than the smile on my kids’ faces. Do you know what I mean? Enjoying every little win along the way and being present for that, not thinking about the future or the past is the most rewarding successful thing I have found in my life. You have to be present to receive the presents.
Q: Who is your biggest influence in the beauty industry? Or just in general? Why?
J: I have an odd person and that’s Gary Vee. He has done so much to help people recognize what's good about themselves that I don’t think anyone in the beauty industry has touched that. That amount of being able to recognize it within yourself and let go of all the social constructs that we normally recognize as beauty and success.
Q: What do you want your legacy to be?
J: That I brought a smile to your face at some point. Whether it’s you recognizing the beauty within yourself because of something or you having a smile because your hair looks good that day. If I brought a smile to your face then I’m happy. That’s enough for me.
Q: If you could share one piece of wisdom with the world, what would it be?
J: Take judgment out. That is one of the most freeing things I have ever done is start freeing myself from judging myself and others. I found that because I was so hard on myself all the time I was harder on others. Once I started being less hard on others, I started being less hard on myself. It's such a catch 22 that I don't think we usually connect. When we’re so judgemental about ourselves it starts reflecting out to the world. You start to just judge everything without realizing it. I appreciate so much in everybody else, but I always was knocking myself, and in turn, that would come out into the world. Alleviating judgment at every turn I can is a big thing. You start thinking, feeling, and doing everything in alignment instead of thinking one and saying another. When you take out the judgment you don’t pull one way or the other you’re just kind of in the middle and it makes life a lot easier!
The History Of The Original TYME Iron, And How It Is Affected By Frauds in 2019

@jacyndasmith is talking about how TYME started and how all of the knock off TYME irons are affecting her dream.
A post shared by TYME (@tymeiron) on Nov 30, 2019 at 11:38am PST
TYME products are a decade of hard work and sacrifice in the making. In 2008, CEO Jacynda Smith made a bold decision to take the future of her family’s life into her own hands.
Her experience as a hairstylist and cosmetologist constantly put her in a room with women who wanted to BE better, who wanted to FEEL better, and Jacynda knew she could make that difference. By helping these women feel empowered by the way they look, Jacynda dreamed of changing lives. Although, like most young mothers, Jacynda knew that these women didn’t have the time to dedicate to their appearance.
That’s when TYME was born.
Jacynda’s genius idea to help women break through their shells, and Kierre Smith, Jacynda’s brother and now co-CEO, made it happen. The two worked hand-in-hand to develop and patent the TYME Iron, and in 2014, their dreams became a reality.
TYME is a small family-owned company made up of passionate, hardworking people who care about the vibrancy of women in today’s culture. We pride ourselves on always putting our best foot forward and believing that if you focus on the positive, the positive will come. Hard work has gone into all of our products and we always put the needs of our customers first - our employees even FaceTime our customers to make sure they’re getting the best experience with our products.
Let's Get Down To Business
The shopping chaos of the holiday season has brought fraud accounts crawling out of the woodwork.Through just December 1-18, TYME has reported at least 1,500 ads which are linked to 180 different sites...and that's just on Facebook. Knock-off brands like Mestar Iron Pro (also known as Me Star Iron Pro, or 2 in 1 Mestar Iron Pro), “duped” our product and are selling a cheap product with none of the quality the authentic TYME Iron, then use our contact information for customer service which reflects negatively on our company.
As we embark on a new decade, we want to emphasize the importance of authenticity. We want YOU to get the real thing, the real experience, the real results. We have witnessed the importance of supporting small companies and how it affects their employees and their families.
We also understand the value of your hard work and what your dollar means to you, which is why we have implemented the AfterPay payment option on all of our products.
We don’t think you should sacrifice a bill or a chance to spoil yourself and run the risk of buying a knock-off iron and risking the side effects (over-heating irons, use non-regulated materials, not receiving any product at all...the list goes on.)
In 2020, we’re pushing to encourage more conscious thought and shopping. It matters, and it’s time we speak up about it!

How To Shop Smart Online, And What To Do If You Have Fallen Victim To Fraud

If there is one thing we are sure about - it’s the quality and thought behind our products.
At TYME we focus on bringing real change into the lives of women all over the world. We can only bring that change through the quality of our products and how we teach and encourage women to use them.
We have spent years developing the TYME Iron and the entire TYME line of products because we truly believe in the value of spending more time doing the things we love, instead of in the bathroom.
We believe our products allow our customers to be the best, most authentic version of themselves. Our focus is you and your individual experience with an iron made from the highest quality components available. The TYME Iron is made with professional grade titanium plates that allow it to heat up in 55 seconds. We offer five different heat settings - because every hair type is different - and we have the technology to allow your iron to remember what temperature you keep your iron at.
If you are purchasing a TYMEIron dupe how do you know that they are promising and practicing the same standard of quality and safety with their products? Let alone giving you the results they’ve “promised".
Companies like Mestar(also known as Me Star Iron Pro, or 2 in 1 Mestar Iron Pro) have stollen our ads, social media and website assets, brochures, and packaging and sell a fake iron to consumers. Not only does this hurt the family-owned company that worked so hard to bring a premium product to the beauty market, but many times customers either receive a product that doesn't work, malfunctions, or never even get sent a product altogether.
When you’re shopping this holiday season - especially on Black Friday and Cyber Monday - make sure you’re getting the authentic product...authenticity makes a difference. Tons of fraud companies make their money offering knockoff, cheap versions of other products, which hurts the companies that have worked so hard to bring you innovative and effective products!
We know it can be difficult to knowhow to spot a fake tyme iron vs a real TYME Iron, sohere are a few tips and tricks to make sure you’re not being taken advantage of byfraud products during shopping holidays.
Buy Directly from the Companies Website..and Check The URL
This is the safest bet. Companies typically give the best discounts on their products directly on their site**. Plus, you can always count on it being the real thing and getting the best deal, so it’s a win-win. The URL in your internet search bar typically says the name of the brand when it is a direct site. For example, our website is tymestyle.com!
**TONS of companies sell their products through Amazon...BUT most verified brands typically have their own shopping page through Amazon. Look for those shops and add those products to your shopping cart instead of reading hundreds of reviews on fake products from a weird user that doesn’t even mention the name brand.
This pertains to social media as well! Instagram and Facebook have all made it very simple to know you are purchasing from a verified company all based on the blue checkmark next to their social media handle!
Where are the “Often Bought With” Items?
When you’re online shopping there is a carousel of images towards the bottom marked “Often Bought With.” These are similar items that pair with the product you are buying. Typically they fall within the same brand line or genuinely just compliment the use of the product. If random items pop up that aren’t “on brand” with the item you’re looking at - beware of a fake product.

There are hundreds of fake third party retailers online. They thrive on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and they TOTALLY bait you with their shipping deals. Does the idea of ordering new high end mugs, sweatpants, jewelry, and hair products all from one site sound legit?
Be careful.
You should always double check to make sure the site you’re ordering from carries more products from the brand your item is associated with. If you can’t find any of the other products from that brand on the site...RED FLAG.
Check the Price
Companies don’t give their products away for free...unless it’s a literal giveaway. You won’t find quality products for a fifth of the price, even if it is Black Friday. Deals and steals do exist, but be wary of the discount your getting. It could end up being a knock off.
Watch the Discount Amount.
Companies will offer percentage discounts that make sense 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, etc. This isn’t always the case, but if something like 83% or 47% comes across your screen, you might want to do a little more research into the product you are thinking of purchasing.
Shop Demo or Refurbished Products
Every company has products they use at events or for photoshoots. The retailers can’t sell these as “new” products, so they often offer them as they are, just at a significant discount. The link to these products typically lives towards the bottom of a website in the footer. And the best part? You don’t have to wait for a shopping holiday for the discount. “Gently used” means it might have a small scratch or smudge, but why should that stop you?
