How Your Blowdrying Method is Affecting Your Hairstyle
Read Time: 2 min 16 sec
Blowdrying is a HUGE part of hair care. Whether you air dry, diffuse, or go for an all-out blowout, there is one core note to remember when it comes to drying:
How you blow dry your hair influences what styles will perform best for you until your next wash day.
Diffusing
Your curls are going to look their best! Are you still able to straighten or curl? Totally, but if a straight look is your goal, giving yourself a blowout will be your easiest step to achieving that straight look. And you should let your curls have their moment for a few days if you're going to put in the work to diffuse them!

This is the best combo for getting a great blowout look to last for days and really be able to control the detail in your blowout! This method will give you sleeker, straighter hair, ideal for straightening or curling. With this drying method, it may be difficult reviving natural curls until your next wash.

4 Hair Tips from TYME: Early Bird Edition
Read Time: 4 min 11 sec
Up with the sun or even earlier, early birds get a jump start on their day! Even if they're jumping up and heading straight into work or taking some necessary alone time, an early bird routine needs a few special touches to get the day started on the right foot. Whether you're an early bird by choice, by trade we have a few tricks to make getting from your bed to your day a little easier.
Daily routines are not one size fits all. We all lead different lives, with their own intricacies, BUT having some tools* to bring more simplicity and consistency to your day is the start to finding your perfect hair care routine.Side note: Having a tool that can curl hair at night and still look amazing when you wake up and brush it and go can be a total game changer
To get started, take an inventory of your week in your notes app. What happens consistently, and when do you typically do those things?
Specifically, pay mind to your hair.
What time of day and how often do you wash your hair?
Do you use heat on your hair every day?
What are the little things you do to care for your hair?
Does your hair need to be "ready" at a specific daily time?
Here are our four early bird tips for longer-lasting, better-looking hair!
#1 Elevate Your Wash Routine
We're always surprised to hear peoples' stories on how changing their wash routine changed their entire routine. Your wash routine plays such an essential role in how long your styles last, but the key to changing your cycle may boil down to when you do it. If you need to rush out the door in the morning, washing your hair at night will change your entire relationship with your hair. An evening wash routine will give you more time to perfect your drying method. In contrast, someone with plenty of time in the morning can do it all when they wake up.
#1 the wash itself.
Learn this washing method and your scalp will thank you! With a sopping wet head, lather in a quarter size of shampoo. Really work it in, rinse and then do it again. That's right, by using a quarter size and shampooing twice, you're giving your hair a cleanse that lasts and truly breaks loose any previously used products. After washing, wring out your hair well, apply your conditioner from the middle section to the ends, and bring any excess up to the roots. Let this sit for five minutes or so, then rinse.
#2 the dry.
This piece of a wash day gets overlooked but, truthfully, is the star of the show. Whether you let your natural curls or waves steal the show for the next couple of days or aim for a straighter look, the drying process is your gateway for your next few days of styles.
We kick off every dry and style with Limitless Universal Spray, even if we're just air drying. Limitless is our all-in-one styling aid that performs as a thermal protectant, texturizer, mousse, and so much more. It will set your style in on the first day so you can set it and forget it!
Reach for your diffuser, concentrator, or even the BlowBrush, and get started!
#2 Simplify Your Routine
With your average week in mind, it is important to find three specific things:1. Your wash + dry days2. Your style days3. Your up-do daysLike a recipe for meal prepping, finding your hairstyle formula will make getting ready for the day more manageable. PLUS, mastering your basic routine staples gives you even more room to explore new styles without the pressure of impacting your look throughout the week.
#3 Hair Performance is KEY!
As we said, blowdrying is a HUGE part of hair care.
Totally! But, if a straight look is your goal, giving yourself a blowout will be your easiest step to achieving that straight look. And you should let your curls have their moment for a few days if you're going to put in the work to diffuse them!
Blowdrying with a concentrator + brush
This is the best combo for getting a great blow out look to last for days and really be able to control the detail in your blowout! This method will give you sleeker, straighter hair, ideal for straightening or curling. Natural curls will have difficulty coming through until you rewash them.
BlowBrush
A great all-in-one tool! If you are looking for a refined blow dry style or achieving a fast power dry, it’s all possible with the BlowBrush. It’s also a perfect tool if you struggle with the brush and dryer combo!
Air Drying
Air drying is an easy solution! Make sure you're still prepping your hair with a product that will help support future styling. If you plan to sleep on wet hair, a good thing to keep in mind is "where hair dries is where it stays." Sleeping on your hair, may cause more chaos to tackle in the morning.
#4 Upgrade your Sleep Routine
Getting your hairstyles to last more than one day is always the goal. Give your curls or straight hair its best shot at making it to day two by working to find your hair's ideal sleep position. There are a couple of tried and true methods to make your hairstyles last through a hard night's sleep:- get a silk pillowcase- prevent your hair from getting squished under your head, neck, or body. How you protect your hair overnight can be unique to you, though. Naturally, curly-haired people might reach for a bonnet, while people with naturally straight hair might throw it up in a loose top knot. A great way to start finding this position is to sleep with your hair fanned out above your head!
Our recommended early bird style routine looks something like this:
Day 1 - Wash Day + Fresh, Clean Hair
Day 2 - Styled Hair
Day 3 - Day two styled hair + an accessory or half up
Day 4 - Pony or Bun
Day 5 - Repeat the process!
Pro Tips from CEO Jacynda Smith:
“Stimulate your scalp before bed! Your scalp can carry a lot of tension, and when a scalp is tight, it can hinder hair growth. Slowly pressing your fingertips from your hairline to your crown, spending more time in areas where you feel more tension. It can promote hair growth and release tight muscles that tend to cause wrinkles and sagging skin! You can use your fingers or grab a paddle brush that is clean and dry and gently massage your scalp all over! AND If you’re looking for a repairing overnight mask routine that doesn’t need to be washed out in the morning, look no further. Meet TYMELESS.”

4 Hair Tips from TYME: Night Owl Routine
Read Time: 4 min 3 sec
Daily routines are not one size fits all. We all lead different lives, with their own intricacies, BUT having some tools to bring more simplicity and consistency to your day is the start to finding your perfect morning routine or routine(s).
We find the night owls of the world, a special kind of romantic. Most night owls are firing on all cylinders while the rest are tucking in. Because their bodies and brains work this way, applying a “morning routine for night owls” can feel chaotic or simply “unrealistic.” Whether you’re a night owl by choice, by trade, we have a few tricks to make getting from your bed to your day a little easier.
To get started, take an inventory of your week in your notes app. What happens consistently, and when do you typically do those things?

#2 Reconstruct Your Wash Day
If wash day is an event for you, we suggest moving your wash day routine to the evening for night owls.* This will ensure you’re getting all the crucial steps done without the rush to get out of the door for the day.
Two important things happen on wash day that will make all the difference in how your hair performs until you have time to wash it again.*If you work at night, transition your wash day to a morning schedule.
#1 the wash itself.
We’re talking about both shampooing and conditioning. With a sopping wet head, lather in a quarter size of shampoo. Really work it in, rinse and then do it again. That’s right, by using a quarter size and shampooing twice, you’re giving your hair a cleanse that lasts and truly breaks loose any previously used products. Meet the Limitless Potential
Read Time: 1 min 22 sec
While searching for the core products to make your hair care routine easier and faster, we discovered something life-changing: Limitless Universal Spray.
We've designed a wonder product by prioritizing max hydration and combining the hold of an everyday gel or mousse. "People spend so much time, energy, and money trying to find the right combination of products that work for them and their hair needs," TYME CEO Jacynda Smith said. "I cannot even begin to tell you how many half-used bottles I had in my cabinet that only addressed one hair challenge AND had competing fragrances."Limitless Universal Spray started as what we thought would be a high-performing thermal protectant, but after various trials, we discovered it is capable of so much more. Limitless functions as and can replace your:
Thermal Protectant
Mousse and Gel
Detangler
Shine Spray
Texturizer
Air Dry Spray
Limitless is a wet and dry-use product designed to take you from one wash day to the next. Users can apply Limitless on toweled dried hair before blowdrying and after blowdrying to lock in moisture or prep hair for additional heat use. On non-wash days users are encouraged to use Limitless to revive curls, refine smoothed hair, or add an extra dose of moisture to their ends. "As a stylist, I wanted a product that gave you the ability to control your hair without weighing it down. Something that could be used for different purposes and would work for all hair types while keeping the hair healthy and moisturized," Jacynda said. "Whether I'm on day one or day seven of my style, Limitless is always my go-to product."
Limitless is intended to be shaken before use to reveal a golden liquid. The formula is best applied when sprayed into the user's hands, spread evenly, or directly applied to hair. The amount of Limitless each user needs to create their desired look will vary based on hair texture, body, and length.

Update Your Routine: 4 Fall Hair Care Tips
Read Time: 3 min 6 sec
How we treat our hair changes with the season. In the summer, we typically wear our hair up more. In the winter, we wear hats and fight off static. So how we care for our hair should change, too. But how we change our routines should be rooted in our hair health rather than just how it looks (but if we’re being honest, healthy hair always looks good).
“Embrace the change that comes with the seasons. You may need to change your wash cycle or add an extra finishing step. Your body and hair will let you know where it needs special attention. Listen to it.” - Jacynda Smith, TYME CEO.
As temperatures start to drop, your hair’s cuticle needs extra attention. This is our easy go-to guide for fall hair care.
Start at the Root
Summer is typically harsh on our hair as we’re constantly pulling our hair up and out of our faces. Let’s give back to our scalps this fall with these tips:
#1 Scalp Stimulation
Just like exercising, the more you move and focus on specific areas of the body, the stronger they get. Your scalp becomes healthier, and your hair becomes stronger with more stimulation. Using a shampoo brush in the shower is a great way to start the process, but even as simple as gently raking your brush over your scalp while brushing can make a huge difference in your overall hair health. Add this step before you shower to break up dead cells, and let them wash away!
#2 Facial Treatment
Ok, this may seem odd, but our scalp acts nearly the same as our facial skin does. If your face is too try, your skin will overproduce oil to try and hydrate it. On the opposite end, if it’s too hydrated, your skin will stop producing oil to try and balance itself out. In the Fall and Winter, your scalp may produce more oil than usual. This is 100% normal! Your scalp is trying to compensate for moisture that cooler weather typically soaks up. While it may be frustrating, a simple adjustment to your wash cycle may do the trick!
#3 Move It* On Up
* your shampoo and conditioner
Unlike most hair care brands, TYME products are formulated to nourish everything from your fragile ends to your fresh roots. The Pregame Shampoo is a gentle foaming formula that washes away unnecessary oils while keeping your hair’s natural oils intact. The real shocker? Even our Showoff Conditioner’s formula is gentle and nourishing to your scalp. Bringing the moisture-locking product up to the scalp protects the new hair cuticle for stronger, healthier-looking hair.
Perfect Your Blow Dry
Whether you’re reaching for a blowdryer brush or a traditional hair dryer, having a blowout as part of your hair care routine can make a massive difference in your hair. The downward force of the air against your hair strands actually works to close your hair’s follicle making it less susceptible to the weather. Each time you blow dry your hair after washing, you give your hair strands a stronger exterior and lock in moisture.
The perfect blowdry looks a little different for everyone. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when blowdrying:
Your hair should look shiny when you’re done, not dull.
Your hair should NOT be hot to the touch. If it is, opt for a lower temperature setting.
Dry your roots first. This section of your hair is thicker and needs more time to dry than your ends.
Protect Your Ends
Lucky for you (our TYME fanatics;), this is EASY. Our wonder product and go-to for everything, Upstaged, paired with the rejuvenating ingredients in TYMELESS Repair and Shine Spray, will be your best friends throughout fall and winter.
Outside of your typical Upstaged uses, add an extra pump or two to your hands and apply to your ends after styling. This extra dose of moisture and protection will keep them looking fresh.
Keep up (or add in) your TYMELESS after styling. TYMELESS is packed with vitamins and proteins to keep your hair healthy and hydrated. When your hair is hydrated, it performs its best and is less affected by static and frizz.
The Post-Hat Refresh
Ok, this is *unconventional*, but we swear it works. Brush all of your hair forward over your face, a little bit at a time, until all of your hair is completely at the front, then brush it all back into its typical place. This little life hack will give you more volume and lift off the scalp while providing some much-needed scalp stimulation.
Keep your hair healthy and thriving with this Fall Hair Care guide.

The BlowBrush Is A Total Game Changer
Read Time: 2min 23 sec
Say hello to your new best friend: the Blow Brush.
At TYME, we're all about making your life easier. We want everything to happen faster and have a lasting impact. Some call it lazy...we call it efficient. That's why we've re-added the Blow Brush to our TYME product family. This powerful heat tool is the definition of versatile. The styling capabilities of a round brush have teamed up with ionic technology to give you the world's easiest blowout. The Blow Brush takes on all hair types and leaves each user with a stunning smooth-to-the-touch finish.
The Details
The barrel of the Blow Brush has four sides: two curved and two flat. These different sides give you complete control over what type of blowout you want to create.
Want a straight look that will last for days? Easy...use the flat sides.
Want a voluptuous 90s-Esque blowout? Use the curved sides!
Like our other brushes, the BlowBrush has both nylon and faux boar bristles that grab every strand of hair. This control allows the airflow vents to evenly reach the bulk of your hair, ensuring that every strand is as dry as the next.
The Tech
We upgraded your drying experience with ionic technology. Ionic hair dryers work to minimize water molecules surrounding each strand of hair. This minimization leads to quicker evaporation time, aka speedier drying time. While shortening your drying time has obvious benefits, it also minimizes your hair's exposure to heat.
The range in our setting allows for a completely customizable experience for all hair types.
Low
The low setting has a low heat temperature with a high fan speed. This combination is perfect for drying the bulk of any hair type and is recommended for styling fine, chemically treated hair.
Medium
When your hair is near 80% dry, we recommend switching to the Medium setting. This setting has a lower fan speed with a higher heat temperature, making it ideal for styling. If you're looking for that perfectly smooth blowout, finish on this setting.
High
The high setting is best used on thicker, curly hair. The high fan speed matched with a higher temperature setting is ideal for creating smoothed, voluminous hair.

How-to Style
Using the BlowBrush is as simple as brushing your hair! Prepare your wet hair with a thermal protectant and brush through any knots for a strong base to start with. Use your pointer finger and thumb to grab vertical sections of hair and lay them flat onto the BlowBrush. Slowly brush through your hair with the BlowBrush at your desired temperature. For more volume, approach the hair from underneath, and for a sleeker look, approach the hair from above. Additionally, use the curved side of the BlowBrush for more volume and curl or the flat side for a straighter look.
A Note from our CEO:
"I noticed a lot of my friends had incredible blowouts, and their hair was looking healthier than ever, especially their face-framing pieces. I started asking what they were doing, and all of them said, "I'm using a blow drying brush!" But every single one of them mentioned how loud theirs were. So I did the research and found one that is phenomenal and added it to our line of products!
There's nothing like having a great blowout. Having a product that keeps your natural shine and limits your heat exposure is a huge benefit above and beyond having great hair every day!"

What Is The Difference Between the TYME Iron Pro and TYME Iron Air?
Read Time: 2 min 34 sec
Hey there! Chances are you’re in the market for a new styling tool and trying to decide between the TYME Iron Pro and the TYME Iron Air. We are here to help!
First things first, we’re looking toward a future of faster styling times and longer-lasting curls because life is meant to be lived and not reserved for getting ready to live. We firmly believe that both of these irons accomplish that goal!
The Quick Overview
TYME Iron Pro
The patented design of the TYME Iron Pro makes it truly one of a kind. A slight twist leads into two straightener-styled titanium plates, making the rotation of curling even easier. A curved lip guides curls to cool on the rounded side of the iron, while an open edge allows you to straighten with ease. The styling capabilities are heightened with user-friendly details like customizable heat settings between 300-400°F, a temperature memory to get you styling at your favorite temperature even faster, and a 30-minute auto shut-off to keep your mind at ease.
TYME Iron Air
The cool-air vents of TYME Iron Air work to set your curls for longer-lasting hairstyles. The ergonomic design resembles a traditional curling iron, opening two straightener-style ceramic plates. The ceramic plates are surrounded by cool-air vents designed to set curls in place. TYME Iron Air is a perfect tool for all skill levels, especially beginners. We paired that easy styling with features like an automatic fan with on/off control, a temperature range of 280-430°F, and a 360° swivel cord.
FOR DIFFERENT HAIR TYPES
We’ve tested these irons on many different hair types and lengths with absolute success. Both the TYME Iron Pro and TYME Iron Air can create gorgeous curls and silky straight finishes on ALL types of hair.
styling on thin vs thick hair
Similarities: The TYME Iron Pro and TYME Iron Air have traditional straightener plates requiring a flat hair section. The plates work to dual heat your hair versus a conventional curling iron that only provides heat from one side.
Differences: The TYME Iron Pro uses titanium plates for a faster heat transfer and instant styles, whereas the TYME Iron Air has ceramic plates that heat hair at a slower rate risking less damage for those with ultra-fine or chemically treated hair.
styling on straight vs curly hair
Similarities: Both irons prioritize the idea that “where hair cools is where it stays.” The TYME Iron Pro allows the hair to cool along the curved outside of the iron and is similar to the TYME Iron Air, which also utilizes cool-air vents.
Differences: The TYME Iron Pro’s titanium plates flash heat hair for a faster heating process allowing naturally curly hair to smooth and curl in one pass. In contrast, the TYME Iron Air’s ceramic plates apply a slower heat transfer and work best on already smoothed hair.
styling on short vs long hair
Similarities: Both irons style in a top-to-the-bottom method, meaning you start your curls near the root and push the iron through the length of your hair. The ergonomic designs of both irons allow users to simply rotate their wrists for a full curl rather than turning the hot tool multiple times to create a curl.
Differences: The TYME Iron Pro has wider titanium plates that can hold more hair, while the TYME Iron Air has thinner ceramic plates that can immediately curl right at the root.
The actual differences between the irons lie within their capability. Like a tablet or laptop, the Pro version of our iron offers more processing power like variety in curl types, efficiency, and professional quality styles. The Air version produces stunning results, with fewer capabilities while cost accessible.

We believe hair care should be made easy and should reflect who we are without taking time out of day. The TYME Iron Air checks all of those boxes. This incredibly user-friendly curling iron and straightener in one gives you big results whiles still being easy to use, completely customizable, with fast results. From beginner to expert, the TYME Iron Air is the ultimate easy-to-learn styling tool with salon-quality results.
The Details
The TYME Iron Air looks similar in shape to a traditional one-inch curling iron, even down to the opening mechanism. When users press down on the ergonomically designed thumb pad, two ceramic plates open for styling. The curved exterior of the iron paired with the flat iron-styled ceramic plates allows for multi-way styling. But the real game-changer? Cool-air vents. The curved outer edge is equipped with fan-powered ventilation to quickly cool styled hair in place, creating instant and longer-lasting results. This stunning piece of technology feels luxurious in hand while working hard for all hair types.
The Tech
TYME Iron Air is a stunning piece of machinery. Users have their choice between five customizable heat settings between 280-460 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the iron has reached the desired temperature, the cool-air vents automatically trigger, giving you the heads up that it's time to style. Users also have the option to turn the fan on and off for different varieties of styles.
We added a few of the luxurious touches from the TYME Iron Pro, like the 360-degree swivel cord and dual voltage so you never find yourself in a tangle.
How To Style
The TYME Iron Air is made for everyone. This user-friendly tool is simple enough to pick up and instantly start styling. Once the TYME Iron Air has reached its desired temperature, the cool-air vents automatically turn on. Once you hear the fan running, pick the iron up with your dominant hand (yes, we heard you lefties!), open the ceramic plates via the thumb pad and place a small section of hair between the plates. Once you’ve secured your hair between the plates at the root, rotate the iron whichever way you desire and push the iron forward down the hair strand.
