Summer is here, and it’s the perfect time to refresh your style with some new braid techniques! Whether you’re hitting the beach, attending a summer festival, or just enjoying the warm weather, braids are a versatile and chic way to keep your hair looking fabulous and feeling cool. Get ready to teach all your girlfriends these braiding techniques, because they are sure to impress!!
Rope Braid
- Start by separating your hair into two even sections.
- Twist each section in the same direction (ex. Towards your face)
- Wrap the two twisted sections around each other going in the opposite direction (ex. away from your face).
- Secure with a hair tie

Fluffy 3 Strand Braid
- Split your hair into 3 even sections.
- Braid the hair by taking one of the outside sections and placing it over the middle section, making it the new middle section.
- Repeat step 2 with the other outside section.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have braided as far down as you desire.
- Secure with a hair tie.
- Starting at the bottom of the braid, gently pull on the outer edges of each outside section on the braid.
- Make your way up the braid, so that each individual section has been puffed.
- Finish with hairspray.

Fishtail
- Split your hair into 2 even sections.
- Take a smaller portion of hair from the outside edge of the right section and pull it over, adding it to the left section
- Take a smaller portion from the outside edge of the left section. Pull this portion over and add it to the right section.
- Repeat these steps until you have braided as far down as you’d like.
- Secure with a hair tie.

4 Strand Braid
- Start by splitting your hair into 4 even sections.
- Take the far left section; pull it over the second section and then under the third section.
- Take your far right section; pull it under the now third section (was first section) and over the second section (was third section).
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have braided as much as far down as you desire.
- Secure with a hair tie. (These steps are interchangeable. You can start with the right section or the left section.)

5 Strand Braid
- Start by splitting your hair into 5 even sections.
- Take the far left section; Pull it over the 2nd section and under the 3rd section. This is now the new 3rd section.
- Take the far right section; pull it over the 4th section and under the third section. This is now the new third section.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have braided as far down as desired. (These steps are interchangeable. You can start with the right section or the left section.)
