Q: What does authentic beauty mean to you?
A: I believe Authentic Beauty radiates from the inside out. I live in a city where the women all look the same, and botox and filler are more common than cacti. The best accessory is my smile and my vibe. I am tuning into what feels true to my individual, unique self. "She's a 7, but her Aura makes her a 10."

Q: How do you put that into practice every day?
A: Practicing mindful self-awareness, I am able to tune into how my body feels and what it needs. As well as listening to my thoughts and letting go of what no longer serves me. With this practice, what feels authentic to me changes on the daily. Some days yoga pants, tinted moisturizer, and a baseball cap feel authentic. Other days I feel like dressing to the nines and putting on a full face of makeup with false eyelashes, blush, and a bold lipstick. In the end, I feel and look my best when I'm genuinely happy, and that's when I'm staying true to my most unique, authentic self.

Q: How does your favorite TYME product support your authentic beauty journey?
A: The entire TYME product line has changed my hair game. Although, TYMELESS Repair and Shine spray is my favorite. I have a TON of thin blonde hair, medium length. As a finishing spray, TYMELESS accentuates the deceiving amount of hair I have, repairs damage from processing, leaves my hair looking silky, voluminous, and smelling absolutely incredible.

Q: What does authentic beauty mean to you?
A: We are so used to seeing unattainable beauty ideals every day in magazines, advertisements, and television, so it is easy to develop a skewed view of what beauty is supposed to look like. Authentic beauty defies societal beauty standards and invites you to be exactly who you are, where you are, right now.

Q: How do you put that into practice every day?
A: It can be challenging to be true to yourself with so many outside influences. I try to put authentic beauty into practice every day by being kind to myself and giving myself some grace when I start to feel down or compare myself to others. Also, if I feel negative thoughts about myself, I try to replace them with something I like about myself.

Q: How does your favorite TYME product support your authentic beauty journey?
A: Uplift Band's affirmations are really helpful for me. Positive self-talk does so much for my mindset and boosts my self-esteem. Sometimes a reminder that you're enough just the way you are can go a long way. I also love the TYME Iron Pro's ability to enhance my natural waves, and on days when my natural texture just isn't cutting it, I can achieve a totally different look. Good hair can really set the tone for the rest of your day.

Q: What does authentic beauty mean to you?
A: I used to think Authentic Beauty was going against the grain, but I have realized that it's more about NOT putting yourself in a box or a uniform. To me, authentic Beauty is more about being the most comfortable version of yourself, so every aspect of your personality has the space to be present, not blocked by worry.

Q: How do you put that into practice every day?
A: I've paired down my routines to only the necessities. That way, when I feel rushed, I still feel good, and when I have extra time, I can play and add an extra dash of fun!

Q: How does your favorite TYME product support your authentic beauty journey?
A: The Blowbrush and consistently blow drying my hair has been such a game-changer for me. Something about feeling "put together" on day one of your wash cycle that sort of transforms and takes the pressure off the rest of it. I get to just show up for the rest of the days without having to get ready for them.

Q: What does authentic beauty mean to you?
A: I think authentic beauty can mean many things, but ultimately it means expressing yourself in a way that feels true to you. I think we often hear "authentic beauty" and think that it inherently means not following trends or not caring what others are doing with their beauty routine. That doesn't have to be true. If you are excited about a new trend like colorful eyeliner or bringing back the 70's hairstyles, do it! But if you feel most true to yourself by not wearing any makeup at all, do that. Authentically show up however you feel like your most beautiful self.

Q: How do you put that into practice every day?
A: Personally, I love playing with trends and putting time into my outfit or hair SOMETIMES. But the majority of the time, I want to put as little thought into my appearance as necessary while still looking put together. I love waking up and knowing that my hair is going to still look good after I styled it 4 days ago, knowing that that gives me the freedom to do a cute hairstyle if I decide to that day.

Q: How does your favorite TYME product support your authentic beauty journey?
A: It's really about the whole system for me. It starts in the shower; with Power Couple, I know my hair will look fresh for at least a week. The BlowBrush has been my weapon of choice lately. I've mastered a 5-minute blowout on air-dried hair that looks great for at least 3 days without touchups. On day 4, I'll bust out the TYME Ironand rock curls until day 7! The freedom I get from the line working cohesively together allows me to have the time to get creative with my styles.

Q: What does authentic beauty mean to you?
A: It is about truly FEELING beautiful and not just striving to LOOK beautiful based on what I've been told "beautiful" is. When my daughter was about 1 and started to enjoy looking at herself in a mirror, I quickly noticed how joyfully and pure her reaction to herself was. She is looking in the mirror without 25+ years of unrealistic expectations that have been fed to her from the beauty industry like I have. I can so clearly see how damaging that has been for me and my confidence and inner voice throughout my whole life.

Q: How do you put that into practice every day?
A: I think the biggest thing that has helped me was questioning every step in my routine. Does this product/outcome actually make me FEEL authentically like myself, or does it make me feel worse about myself without it? Through that, I've found that I truly feel my best with less. I also have a list of affirmations that I've told my daughter since she was a few months old, and I started telling myself them and have noticed how much that has helped me unlearn some of the negative thoughts I have been telling myself for years as I get ready in the morning.

Q: How does your favorite TYME product support your authentic beauty journey?
A: My fav TYME product is Upstaged because it's a one-stop shop for me, no matter what look. I love that I can use it as a heat protectant and style extender if I want to curl and style my hair.... but I can also use it on damp hair and use it to help rock my natural curls for more carefree days. It makes my hair feel like REAL hair, not unrealistically slippery, plastic-y, and weighed down like I thought it was supposed to look like because of TV commercials.

Q: What does authentic beauty mean to you?
A: Authentic beauty means not looking for anyone else's opinion to see what beauty means. It means knowing what is true to you in a way where you are comfortable enough to see beauty through your own lens.

Q: How do you put that into practice every day?
A: I used to see what was being put out as beautiful or trendy and tried to apply those things in my life. I always had it in the back of my mind that just because Madonna did something that was cool didn't make it right for me. At the time, I was referring to the pointy bras she made famous, so in the back of my mind, I knew I didn't want to follow a trend just because it was a trend, but many times I wouldn't like something in the beginning and would convert just because it was everywhere. Now I've brought it to the forefront of my mind and really look at every instance to see how each moment contains beauty. Even in the places you least expect it and see what truly resonates with me.

Q: How does your favorite TYME product support your authentic beauty journey?
A: I think they all work to support that idea, but if I had to choose one, it's the Power Couple. The amount of time I spend on my hair in a month has been reduced by about 50 hours a month. (Imagine I used to need 50 hours more a month to do my hair before our shampoo and conditioner!) Every one of our products gives me back my time, and that is one of the best gifts I could hope to have with busy days. I used to spend hours on my hair, but now because our products allow me to spend a lot less time on my hair, I get to be present and see the simple, beautiful moments I'm surrounded by every day.
