Not every review of a TYME iron is a good one, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The Iron Pro in particular has the steepest learning curve of anything we make, and some writers have given up on it before it clicked. If you want the honest version of who each iron suits and who it does not, the comparison page says so plainly, and the quiz will talk you out of the wrong one.

TYME is owned by Lauren Ashtyn, a licensed professional hair stylist who grew up in her mother's salons and designed the 1.25 inch and 2 inch irons herself. The original TYME iron was designed by cosmetologist Jacynda Smith from 2012 and launched in 2014. TYME is a family owned business based in South Carolina.

There are counterfeit TYME irons in circulation, some selling for under $30. If you are reviewing an iron that did not come from us or from our Amazon storefront, it may not be ours, and it will not perform like ours. Here is how to tell the difference.
