Fall Trends We're LOVING (And The Pics To Inspire You.)
Read Time: 2 min 4 sec
We love exploring the new trends that pop up every season. With the fall weather finally setting in, we need some new looks to complement our layers. In our search for the perfect fall hairstyles and accessories, we have made it our goal to move towards a more attainable definition of beauty, which works for everyone, from runway models to athletes and busy moms, too!
The Cuts
A True Bob The roaring 20’s are easing their way into the 21st century. The classic bob is popping up everywhere, from runways to red carpets and even our local coffee shops. Chances are you’ve spotted one of these effortlessly chic cuts already this season. Don’t be afraid to test the waters.
The Wolf CutIf you didn’t already know, there are a few things in life that look good on everybody: ankle-length pants, a solid color tee, and the wolf cut. It works for every hair type and every face shape. This cut will change your life. Please do it!
Bangs Match the wolf cut with a touch of fringe, and you will feel like an entirely new person. While bangs have been back on trend for the past few years, we think they’re here to stay.
The Hairstyles
Blowouts We’re biased, but this blowout tutorial is fire. Few feelings on Earth match the sensation of running your hands through silky smooth hair. Not only does it show off your healthy locks, but it sets your next hairstyle up for success. We’re definitely advocating for women to perfect their at-home blowout. You won’t regret it.
The Casual Half-Up Look Shout out to claw clips (see listing below) for bringing back some of the best hairstyles that we almost forgot. Half-up looks like these are bougie enough for a night on the town and just casual enough to accidentally wear for five days in a row.
The Accessories
Vibrant ClipsWe can’t stop drooling over EmiJays’s collection. While monochromatic outfits and gold jewelry are flooding our feeds, we’re also still seeing the effects of Gen Z’s discovery of claw clips. We do have to say they are bringing claw clips back in a pretty glamorous way. We’re seeing loud, vibrant colored, and patterned floral clips, and we love them. More of these, please!
Piggybacking off of that… Loud Pins Lover’s Tempo understood the assignment. We can already hear you. “What’s the difference?!” Hairpins are more like bobby pins than clips are, and while they do have some holding power, they’re typically more for decoration. Pins used to be reserved strictly for weddings and special events but are more common now.
Hats Bucket hats. Felt hats. Beanies. Baseball hats. You name it, that type of hat is on-trend right now. Whether it’s the newfound love for functional fashion or just trying to set a “vibe,” hats have made their complete comeback. Get yourself one and let that hair rest an extra day between washes.

The Perfect Hairstyles For Every Zodiac Sign
Read Time: 3 min 21 sec
Call it a stroke of genius or just trying to find a hack for our everyday style, but we think we found the ultimate life hack. Your everyday hairstyle should align with your zodiac. Like...hello?! It will definitely fit your personality. It's perfect.
Aquarius
Air Sign
Aquarius, we absolutely adore your ties to personal freedom. Hairstyles that let you prioritize that freedom is a crucial component in your life. We love an "au natural" moment for you. Whether you're embracing your natural curls or creating some false ones (your secret is safe with us), working with what you already have keeps you from stressing.
Pisces
Water Sign
Pisces, we see your romantic little hearts but truly raise a glass to your imagination. You can see creative opportunities throughout the day, which leads us to think that you need to be ready to go at a moment's notice. Braids are perfect for you! Wear them low for a date night or go with boxer braids for today's adventure, either way, you're going to look amazing!
Aries
Fire Sign
Your symbol is the Ram for a reason. You boss up and dive into everything head first. As a natural-born leader, we thought you deserved a style that allows you not only to look incredible but truly get sh*t done. The Ariana Grande-inspired pony is perfect for you. Bougie enough to make you stand out in a crowd but functional enough that if someone challenges you to a race, you're ready to go.
Taurus
Earth Sign
While most people see you as chill and laid back, we know your determination levels are off the charts. While comfort is a massive part of your life, you see the work that goes into attaining that comfort. There is no better "let's get it done" hairstyle than a bun. You mean business, and you're going to put sweats on as soon as the work is complete.
Gemini
Air Sign
Your youthful outlook on life and abilities to shift between aesthetics made you the hardest to pick! But at the end of the day, we all know your number one trait: you know something we don't. You always have the scoop. Therefore, you're getting your own Gretchen Wieners moment with Whispering Waves. This look can last for days and switch between all the different styles out there. They are perfect for you.
Cancer
Water Sign
Unanimously dubbed the crybaby's of the zodiac and a water sign...we think water is your thing. Add in a healthy obsession with nostalgia and beach waves the perfect look for you, Cancer. You can rock them straight out of the water (we know this is your preferred way) or create "I barely even tried" waves to give off that romantic aesthetic.
Leo
Fire Sign
Leo's are ruled by the Sun and definitely have a "main character" mindset, but for the best reasons. You let your confidence shine and work hard, all while looking incredible. We're giving your mane an extra dose of love with Rocker Waves. Make these waves big and wild, or keep them under the radar. Either way, you know you look good.
Virgo
Earth Sign
Can we say detail-oriented? We know you're a dream to work with and, honestly, probably the group's mom, but your perfectionism can sometimes get in your way. We think a sleek and straight look is a perfect every day for you! Every strand of hair can be in its place without you having to worry about it.
Libra
Air Sign
You want to make things right. That can take place in arguments, the organization of your home, but definitely in your looks. We can't put our thumb on it, but Libra aesthetics are always fire. Glam waves are the perfect look to bring out your sexy side...I mean, your ruling planet is Venus...like the goddess of love Venus.
Scorpio
Water Sign
Independence is your thing. Don't get us wrong, your confidence is through the roof, but never in a bragging kind of way. Relaxed waves are the perfect everyday look for you because they're just enough effort to let the world know you tried, but they also could be from five days ago. We all know how you like to keep them guessing. ;)
Sagittarius
Fire Sign
You may be the most welcoming of all the zodiac signs. An extrovert to the core, you're constantly on the go. Big, bouncy waves are the absolute ideal hairstyle to match your big personality. They'll always fit in with your lifestyle, and you won't have to worry about being ready for the group picture!
Capricorn
Earth Sign
You are the literal boss. Ambition lives in your bones, therefore, making every part of your daily routine efficient—That's why you should opt for a blowout. Nothing puts you in a more powerful mood than a fresh from the salon state-of-mind, even if you just did it at home. Plus, not having to worry about how bomb your hair looks will give you plenty of brain space to crush that next project.

TYME Reviews: The Good And The Bad
Read Time: 4 min 8 sec
Taking the time to learn something new can be frustrating, but something is empowering about mastering a new skill like mowing the lawn for the first time. We know it’s like vacuuming, but not entirely, and some methods are good for your yard. All in all, you don’t quite know how to do it unless someone explains it to you or you jump in headfirst. Well, that is kind of how the TYME Iron works, too. It’s not a straightener. It’s not a curling iron. It’s different, and there are a couple of things to know before jumping in.
We’re so grateful for all the people who take a chance on our iron. Knowing that something is going to take time to learn can be intimidating, and we’re so grateful for all the people who have persevered and learned the TYME Iron... some people don’t.
The Bad Reviews
The Milabu Review
We love that she starts the review acknowledging that there is a learning curve, but unfortunately, she doesn’t mind the instructions after that statement. While we wish you could jump through the screen and give her a helping hand, we’ll give YOU the tips we would have given her.
Our Key Takeaways:
Pay attention to which side of the iron you’re using when approaching your hair. There is an open side, which we call the straightening side, as its best for straightening, and a closed side with a lip. The closed side is for curling. If you want to curl, this side MUST be the side closest to your roots. A great indicator to know if you can curl or straighten is determining where your wrist is facing.
For curling, the inside of your wrist is facing you when you approach the hair.
For straightening, the inside of your wrist is facing away from you when you approach your hair.
Curling on the left side can throw people through a loop. We get it. Here is the simplest way to explain it: start with the iron in your dominant hand (thumb behind the light, of course), hinge your arm up over your head. Typically, in this position, your knuckles face the mirror, and we prefer the swivel cord of the iron to be behind you.
Use your non-dominant hand to guide and help the piece you’re curling stay on the titanium plates.
Leave the vice grips in your toolbox. ;) We’ve engineered a precise angle in our iron, so you don’t have to apply tons of pressure while using it.
Yikes.
First, what we hear in this review is that the user is going too fast. Passing through each section of hair too quickly and with very little rotation will not result in an aesthetically pleasing curl. Our titanium plates heat the hair faster than the average straightener or curling iron, but the key to a great curl is proper cooling time. Where your hair cools is where it stays. We designed the TYME Iron with a curved barrel so that your hair can cool along that curve as you curl. While we preach that our iron is fast, it’s not a magic wand.
So our suggestion to this user would be to slow down and take advantage of our FREE HangTYME sessions. While learning a new skill on your own can be a source of pride, please don’t struggle through a new practice and then give up when it doesn’t work the way you intend. We have a stylist dedicated to teaching you how to use the TYME Iron.
How you approach your hair with the TYME Iron does matter.
We must be active participants in how we use the TYME iron. If you rotate the iron a lot, you’re going to get a bigger curl. If you barely turn the iron, you’re hardly going to get a curl at all. One of the number one things we hear is “my curls don’t last” or “It’s just a straightener.” To that, we say, take your time. Blazing through your locks when trying to curl isn’t going to create a curl. It’s going to apply just enough heat to warm up the hair and leave no time for cooling in a curled position, meaning you just lightly straightened your hair.
We do have tutorials for left-handers!
We wish our small business could engineer a left-handed TYME Iron for a quick solution, but we do have a glimmer of hope for all you left-handed stylists out there. Our gal, Savannah, is also left-handed. She has mastered the TYME Iron, and we love her words of advice.
“Your left hand is still a very active participant in the curling process. Truly all your right hand is doing is closing the iron and rotating. The left hand is grabbing the section of hair you’re curling, placing the hair in the iron, guiding it through the iron, and twisting the curl after it is out of the iron. Don’t underestimate how much that hand is doing!”
The Good Reviews
We applaud your patience!
Going in with the mindset that you CAN learn this new tool and that it is different truly makes all the difference. We’re so impressed with Kelly’s commitment to the process and that she invested into her routine further by exploring our wet line. Our wet line works hand in hand with the TYME Iron and BlowTYME. The products are hyper-hydrating and work to protect your hair from outside stressors like heat and humidity. The best part? Do you know the oils that make your hair feel greasy, sebum? Our shampoo and conditioner work to balance sebum production, so you don’t have to wash your hair as much!
YES MERRI!
We’re biased, but our brushes are top knot-ch! ;) The paddle brush gives an element of luxury to getting ready. Our nylon bristles glide through your locks with ease and give your scalp a well-deserved massage.
It is super easy!
There is no going back once you have learned how to use the iron and have your technique down. If we were unable to use TYME Irons for some depressing reason to get ready in the morning, we would literally daydream about them.

Eight Do It Yourself Bridal Hairstyles That Every Bride Will Love
Read Time: 2 min 55 sec
With in-person events happening again, this year’s event season is jam-packed with weddings, homecomings, reunions, and parties of all kinds. We’re loving our full schedules but figuring out how to get ready for all of these events, let alone what to wear, is an entirely different story.
We’ve been scouring the internet for different ways to style your hair for your wedding day, and because we always love a thrifty moment, we found the best wedding hairstyles you can do at home!
Up-do’s
You can never go wrong with an up-do! They flatter any formal wear and can give you a slight relief in that long-lasting summer heat. There are a few essential tools you’ll want around when attempting to create any of these looks; bobby pins, small elastic hair ties, and BigTYME.
The Polished Low-Bun
A low bun is a perfect way to style your hair for your wedding! This perfectly classy look is suitable for a five-star hotel gala or even just a courthouse wedding. Add a touch of volume to this look by teasing the under layers of the bun and smooth the top layer, creating an elevated look.
The Braided Bun
Do it yourself hairstyles, like this braided bun, are great to learn for special events, but we also LOVE keeping them in our back pocket for those “maybe we should have washed our hair yesterday” days.
The Voluptuous Pony
A high, voluminous ponytail is the perfect combination of practical and chic. Elevated ponytails are the ideal hairstyle for the sporty bride. Let’s be honest; if there is a dance floor, we’re probably going to bust a move on it. Keeping your hair off your neck will help prevent some excess sweat. ;)
The Lowkey Fishtail Braid
Fishtail braids are a fantastic way to complement a 60s or 70s inspired wedding! A glamorous hairpin or hair wrap is the perfect accessories to dress up these low-maintenance braids.
Curls For Days
Figuring out how to wear your hair on your wedding day can be stressful, but we LOVE this pro tip: Wear an elevated version of your everyday look. Applying this hack to your hairstyle will have you feeling your best in any pictures from your wedding day, meaning you’ll love all of them! Here are our favorite looks and how to create them with the TYME Iron.
Beach Waves
Big Waves
Creating these big beachy waves is an absolute breeze. This look is perfect for when you spent a little too much time on your makeup and need to get out the door quickly. A few tricks to making the curls BIG are:
Grab a thin section of hair that is just long enough to take up the bulk of your iron plates.
Once your hair is in the plates, rotate your knuckles to the back wall creating a big curve.
Angle your iron at nearly a horizontal angle.
Barely-there waves
While these beachy waves take a little more time to create, they are genuinely flattering in any setting. Here are the fool-proof tricks to making these waves fall perfectly:
Grab small sections of hair that take up less than half of your iron plate.
When curling, rotate your knuckles to face away from you but not toward the back of the room.
Curl with your iron angled in between a vertical angle and a 45-degree angle.
For a proper beachy wave look, finish each of these curls by drawing your iron toward the floor at a vertical angle. The ends will come out slightly more straight than the rest of your hair, giving you fresh out-of-the-water vibes. Don’t forget SelfieTYME hairspray to lock in all your hard work.
Glamour Waves
Glamour waves are those unicorn curls. These curls are perfect for every bride with short hair, medium hair, long hair, really just any type of hair. While creating the look takes a little time, and we definitely suggest doing a trial run before just jumping in on your big day, this style is so worth it.
The Blowout
Trust us, we love a TLC salon moment, but mastering your at-home blowout can change your life and will definitely make you feel like a top-notch bride. Grab your BlowTYME hairdryer, a round brush, and BigTYME, and prepare to feel like the glamorous DIY bride that you are.
You can do this! We believe in you, you beautiful bride!

Creating The Perfect Morning Routine With CEO Jacynda Smith
Read Time: 3 min 52 sec
There are no one-size-fits-all when it comes to routines, especially morning routines. While there are some “influencers” and “fitness gurus” who might claim they have the best morning routine, which really is just a regimented schedule that fits into their lifestyle...it is quite simply just not true.
None of our days look exactly the same (ok, moms, we see you, just keep reading!), and frankly trying to adhere to a strict schedule is kind of setting yourself up for failure. We’re in the business of adding wins to your day, not L’s. Our CEO, Jacynda Smith, put together a few tips to help you beat the system and develop a perfect morning routine of your OWN.
#1 - Follow Your Excitement.
“Follow your excitement to the best of your ability with no insistence on the outcome.” - Bashar, Darryl Anka
This quote is number one for a reason. Of course, there are things in life that we don’t love doing...taking out the garbage, changing a dirty diaper, pumping gas, etc., but there are tasks that we love that we can put a focus on. We all get the same 24 hours in a day, so why not take one or maybe a handful to do the things we actually enjoy?
Ok moms, we still see you! We know your schedule is pretty much full and that if you did have an extra hour in the day, somehow it still wouldn’t be for you. Our proposition? Start including your babes in those little moments that you love. Not only will it give you a relief to start doing the things you love again, but can start the building blocks of a life-long that task for your child, too!
#1a - Find the things you don’t like doing in your schedule.
Sometimes this can be an easier first step. Don’t get us wrong, finding the good first is always the preferred step, but sometimes taking a step or two out can make a big difference. Not only are you creating the time and space to start doing the things you love, but it may even help you discover new things you love.
#2 - Every day does NOT have to look the same.
Mondays may be your long-haul days and Tuesdays may be hot yoga. Preparing for each of your days shouldn’t look the same, because your days don’t hold the same activities. Let’s be realistic, having the same schedule every single day is NOT fun. Are you a robot? We didn’t think so.
Setting strict, mundane parameters to your day eventually is going to wear on you, but maybe you need a little structure to your mornings to really get your day started. We applaud you for recognizing that and encourage you to find the little moments you love. Use them to romanticize your mornings and have better starts to each day.
#3 - S.I.M.P.L.I.F.Y.
Again, easier said than done. We know. BUT, there are little things you can do throughout the day to make things a little smoother.
Need to grab food for dinner? Take five minutes and order those items online for pick up at your local grocery store.
Spending too much on drive-thru coffee? Hit up Youtube and find out how to automatically start your coffee pot in the morning.
Hate getting ready in the morning? Invest in some products that make you feel put together, but only take a fraction of the time. For instance hair products formulated so you can wash your hair less AND your styles last longer….like TYME! ;)
Once you have identified your #1a items, find a way to make them easier. Marie Kondo your routine, girl!
#4 - Give yourself a daily treat.
We’re not talking cookies here. (But cookies are always welcome!) Whether we’re moms or badass CEOs or both, there is something we all love doing, something that fills our cup every day. For me, it's mediation. I love following Matías de Stefano’s guided meditations to combat the overwhelming nature of today’s world. It is so easy to get swallowed in the turbulence of social media and everything going on in the world, that getting the chance to be centered with myself is so strong. It helps me remember that I am enough.
Your treat doesn’t have to be meditation or food or some flamboyant task every day. Even the small things that you love like going for a solo walk or reading a book while everyone else is watching TV or even playing your favorite album from when you were 15 while cleaning today’s mess can make a huge difference in your outlook. It's all about falling in love with your life and where you’re at. We know it’s cheesy, but romanticizing the little things in life, really does add a base level of happiness to your everyday.
#5 - Give yourself space to learn and grow.
Read that again.
You can plan every single second of your day and somewhere along the way something isn’t going to go as planned. Give yourself structure, but don’t forget to allow yourself wiggle room to explore and try new things. You deserve it. The world is changing so quickly that we must remember to take time to appreciate what is here and now before it's gone.
You are the master of your morning routine. You know what goes into a morning that makes your day good or challenging, so only you can curate a perfect daily routine.
You got this!

New Ways To Support Small Businesses (Even When Your Budget is Tight)
Read Time: 1 min 47 sec
The wake of the global pandemic has been a beautiful thing. We’re seeing people functioning as a more true version of themselves. We’ve watched local businesses flourish from a newfound appreciation and commitment to our communities. Most importantly, we can all hug each other again!
While the post COVID world is looking brighter and we’re seeing things a bit more clear, there’s one aspect we’re just not loving...some small businesses just can’t keep up. Ad budgets are growing while terms and restrictions are changing on nearly a daily basis. It’s a lot to keep up with.
We’re shifting our focus on thanking our supporters and putting some tyme (wink) and power back into the hands of the businesses who are working to change lives every single day. After all, you’re the reason we’re doing what we do anyway.
Here are our THREE fool-proof ways to help support small businesses even when spending isn’t an option:
#1: Be Social on Social Media!
We’re putting a new spin on the phrase “if you see something, say something.” Social media algorithms LOVE interaction and while a “like” still does wonders, all small businesses want to hear from you! Drop them a comment if you love what you see and start that dialogue. There’s a real person on the other end responding and we’re willing to bet it will put an extra pep in their step that day.
Like their posts
Leave a comment. Even a “heart” makes a difference
Share their posts to your story or timeline, or pin it!
#2: Shout It from the Rooftops!
We’re over “best-kept secrets.” SHARE THE SAUCE! If there is a product or place you absolutely love, tell people about it! Not only can you impact the person you’re speaking to or the people who see your post on social media, but you’re letting that business know how much you love their products. Feedback is ALWAYS welcome!
Share a picture or video of how you use their product!
Write a product review on their website
Leave a Google Rating
Tag a friend
#3: Use this Discount HACK, if You’re Strapped for Cash
Nearly every small business utilizes an email platform. We have all seen the pop-ups and you probably have an email account dedicated to JUST those emails. What you may not know is that emails are most small businesses ’ way of getting you information about sales and discounts! So next time you’re online shopping, check those emails!
The power you have to change lives is greater than you might think. Each team member of a small business is affected by your interaction with their company. Small businesses need and love your support!
So to put our money where our mouths are, here are a few of the small brands we’re obsessing over right now:

Why We're Still Talking About The Middle Part Vs. Side Part Debacle
Read Time: 2 min 50 sec
For a brief moment, the internet was taken by storm because a Gen Z-er claimed that side parts were “out” and middle parts are “in,” along with some other trends (skinny jeans vs. straight and the crying laughing emoji). This claim caused almost the entire Millennial generation to simultaneously lose their minds. TikTok and Instagram flooded with clap-back videos from either generation trying to persuade their followers why their part was superior over the other.
While these videos made for some great content to scroll through, we realized something more while watching. Women were trying something new.
Admit it, when was the last time you really tried something new and out of the box for yourself and your physical appearance? It’s been a while, right?
Changing your part can be a daunting task if you don’t know what you’re doing, and especially if you’ve been wearing your hair the same way for years. BUT IT’S SO WORTH IT! There are a couple of incredible things that can happen when you switch your part up from time to time:
1. You may find your best self.
Just because you’ve done something the same way for years, doesn’t mean it's the best way. Switching your part may give you a new best angle or way to highlight your favorite part of your face.
2. You can keep your hair follicles on their toes!
Don’t underestimate your hair’s capability of adjusting. If you’ve been wearing the same part for years, your hair has learned to grow that way and has adapted to the wear and tear. Switching it up encourages your hair to strengthen and grow in new ways!
We couldn’t help but notice the few videos where a quick change was made without any styling effort and some women just gave up. Here’s our quick guide on how to prep and style both parts, so you can truly see which is best for you.
Side Part to Middle Part
Chances are, if you’re reading this section, you’re a millennial. What’s up Y2K babies?! We get that you’re probably anxious to recreate a not-so-flattering 90’s look, but trust us, you won’t!
Start your transition of the side to the middle part while your hair is wet. Blow-dry the roots of your hair in all different directions until they’re almost completely dry, then make your part. The appeal of a middle part is the ability to frame your face well, so grab your round brush! It’s important that your face-framing pieces collapse against your forehead instead of lifting off. Wrap your hair around the round brush, but pull down while blowdrying instead of up. You want the air to be drying the underside of your hair to help create that perfect wave.
Pro-Tips:
If you’re missing the volume your side part gave you, add it in other places, like the crown or bulk of your hair!
Be mindful of how you tussle your hair with this part. Give lift at the crown, but make sure your encouraging collapse with your face-framing pieces and opening those pieces at the cheek or lip.
Middle Part to Side Part
Chances are if you switch your part right now at this moment, you’re going to feel like you have a giant cowlick. Don’t give up though!
The key to switching your part is to do it while your hair is wet. This gives you better control of where your hair ends up. Kind of like our saying “Where hair cools is where it stays” consider this “where hair dries, it stays.” ;) When blowdrying, use a paddle brush to dry your roots in all different directions to break up your hair’s natural tendency.
Opt for a just-off-center part instead of diving into a deep side part. The appeal of a side part for most women is the ability to give their hair volume right around their face, so don't be afraid to use that round brush and give your hair some root lift!
Pro-Tip: We noticed some people don’t like the side of their head that has less hair or volume. If this is the case for you, make your side part a diagonal instead. This will give you some extra hair on that side to build more volume.

Create the Perfect Curtain Bangs
If you have bangs or face-framing pieces that you’re particular about, always start your style in front. To create these perfectly tossed you’ll need your Upstaged thermal protectant, Triangle Brush, and BlowTYME Hairdryer.
Always start any heated hairstyle with a thermal protectant. Use the triangle brush at a 45-degree angle, pick up* your curtain bangs and rotate the brush backward. Start blow drying* at a vertical angle, encouraging the hair to push back along with the brush. This method will develop the swept curl look.
Pro tip: Thermal protectants also works as an amazing styling agent in place of hairspray when you’re trying to create a more laid back look.
*We suggest keeping your blow dryer on a low setting with high heat.
Creating THE Look
Pictured: Curling left the side and curling the right side
To achieve beach waves on your right side, start with your iron facing upward, rotate the iron back toward yourself and pushing through the hair at a downward, 45-degree angle. At the end of the curl draw the iron down toward the floor to elongate the curl, creating the perfect beachy wave. On your left side, do the same thing but start with your iron angled downward.
Pick Up the Volume
If you’re looking for more dimension or volume in your curls, grab a small section at the crown of your head, and start your curl at the top, rotating right away to create a “peak” for the curl higher. Close to the halfway mark of that already curled piece, drop out your curl in the middle of a “valley.” It is essential to twist the curl back in your hand. This should ensure that the partial curl you just created flows seamlessly with the previous curl. We call these "Pick Up Curls"!
(Peaks and Valleys 101: On a traditional curl, the “peak” of your curl is that is the side that is facing outward and turning back away from your face, while the “valley” is the side facing inward and rotating back towards your face.”)
Finishing your Style
Take your look to the next level with BigTYME Volumizing Powder Spray. Apply it to the under your top section on hair. Use your fingertips to “shampoo” the powder in, creating a lived-in, lifted look. Continue to use the spray throughout the entirety of your hair to give your curls more texture and separation - a beachy wave essential.
Finish this gorgeous look with SelfieTYME hairspray to lock in those perfectly swept curtain bangs. Start by spraying the underside of the bangs while encouraging the bangs backward. Then pinch either side together, in the middle of the forehead and spray. Gentle slide the bangs back to their styled position and spray again.
Final Tip: Adding a touch of thermal protectant to the ends of your hair will help keep them smooth and shiny. Tackle a new decade with this simple and absolutely gorgeous look!

Nine Summer Trends We're Giving A Stamp Of Approval
Read Time: 2 min 17 sec
The Midwest’s unhinged weather seems to have finally taken a turn around the corner toward summer! Every year at this time comes the great debacle of what style trends are here to stay, which are still thriving from fall and winter, or which styles are on the brink of being a complete mess. While the pandemic did bring us into a more casual state of being, TikTok life hacks and shows like Euphoria brought a TON of new styles and experimentation to the table. We’re diving through our favorites styles so you don’t have to.

Honestly...LONG LIVE CURTAIN BANGS!
This look is so flattering on so many different face shapes. Whether you keep them short and flared or long and face-framing, curtain bangs are a winner.
Natural Locks
We’re begging for Summer 2021 to be the summer of natural curls! The transformation our culture is making into full-on curly hair pride is incredible. We don’t want to see anyone denying their curls this summer. Spoil your curls with shampoo and conditioner that actually moisturizes them and doesn’t weigh them down, and keep them bouncing with products that don’t dry them out and encourage constant moisture. Those curls deserve it!
Bucket Hats are Back

We’re not talking about the khaki fishing hats your grandpa owns. Street fashion has blessed us with the opportunity to breathe new life into bucket hats and we’re definitely adding a few to our accessories catalog during the sunny seasons.

Whether we’re talking bright or just plain big, bold is in. Giant scrunchies are now lining the shelves at your local target and maybe it’s just us but bright, chunky hair clips are flooding our Instagram feeds. These accessories are the perfect way to jazz up a monotone outfit or even refresh a hairstyle you’re just not quite ready to wash yet. ;)

Thank you 90’s gods. THANK YOU!
Yes, we’re talking about the giant hair clips you used to put over your lips as a kid. Claw clips are perfect for nearly any hair length or type. Their ease of use paired with top-notch hair security make them the perfect summer accessory to have on hand!
Straight Hair

Silky straight hair has made its way into the 2020s! We love seeing smooth hydrated hair out in the wild. Be cautious adding this style to your hair rotation though! Applying heat too often to your hair can be damaging. Trust us. We created an iron that is designed so you have to apply heat less often!

Ok, hear us out! Mullet and shag cuts are a bold and gorgeous way to add a TON of texture and body to your hair. You don’t have to go full Miley Cyrus (but also maybe DO IT!), but giving this cut a try may just change your life. ;)
